Krillion gives you about 25 seconds per prompt and one Daily Dive a day. Points come from rarity, not from being clever.
| Tier | Points | Depth |
|---|---|---|
| Plankton | 10 | 100 m |
| Too Clever | 15 | 150 m |
| Schooler | 30 | 300 m |
| Rare | 60 | 600 m |
| Deep Cut | 85 | 850 m |
| One in a Krillion | 100 | 1,000 m |
One point equals ten metres of depth, so a perfect run of 700 points takes you to 7,000 m — the trench floor.
The trap: an answer can sound perfectly reasonable and still be rejected — only answers inside the official set count. The goal isn't the cleverest answer you can think of; it's an answer that's unusual but still obvious enough to be on the list.
If an answer came back low and you're not sure why, the Too Clever breakdown walks through the 15-point tier, and how Krillion scoring works covers the full arithmetic.
Krillion is a free daily trivia game played in a browser. Each day gives every player the same seven open-ended prompts, and answers are scored by how rare they are rather than by whether they are right or wrong.
Seven. You get about 25 seconds per prompt and one Daily Dive a day, and your score is turned into depth for a diver: each point equals 10 metres.
Yes. Hints4Today keeps every past Daily Dive with all seven prompts and the size of each official answer pool, so you can check a date you missed.
Every player faces the same seven Krillion questions a day, one open-ended prompt at a time with about 25 seconds each. Answers are scored by rarity inside the official pool, from Plankton (10) up to One in a Krillion (100), and your total score becomes diving depth: each point is 10 metres. The full scoring breakdown explains all six tiers.
Too Clever is the 15-point tier: the answer was accepted, but it was a sideways or cute pick rather than a rare one, so it pays almost nothing. It sits one step above Plankton and a long way below Schooler. The Too Clever breakdown keeps every 15-point answer on record.
